Ada Lovelace Day – blogging Margaret Ross

Prof Margaret Ross is Professor of Software Quality at Southampton Solent University. Margaret was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in 2004 by Staffordshire University. She is also a Freeman of the City of London and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Engineers. She is a Fellow of the BCS and actively engaged in many BCS activities from being a nationally elected member of the BCS Council, Chair of the Hampshire Branch, Vice Chair and Secretary of the BCS national Quality Specialist Group, member of the BCS Ethics Expert Panel, the TickIT Committee and the BCSWomen Committee. Finally, she was also appointed an MBE for her services to higher education as professor of software quality at Southampton Solent University in June 2008.

She is also conference director for two up-coming conferences on quality at the end of March 2010: International SQM and INSPIRE.
